It starts with an initial consultation to learn about your pet’s health, diet, and goals. From there, I coordinate with your vet, collect any needed test results, and share everything with our nutrition partner.
Within a few weeks, you’ll receive a fully customized diet plan and recipe — along with a secure online page to access your pet’s information anytime. I’ll help source ingredients, guide you through in-home meal prep, and offer ongoing support to make sure your dog’s diet stays balanced and effective.

Qualifications
-
I’m trained in canine nutrition and work in collaboration with veterinary professionals who hold advanced training in veterinary nutrition. My background combines hands-on experience, continued education, and a passion for helping pet owners feed their dogs safely and confidently.
-
I collaborate with a board-certified veterinary nutritionist or another qualified veterinarian, depending on your preference.
The nutritionist I work with most often, Dr. Wolfe, holds extensive credentials in veterinary and natural nutrition, food therapy, and therapeutic diet formulation. She specializes in creating customized diets for healthy adult dogs and those with conditions such as food sensitivities, skin allergies, early kidney or liver disease, or a history of pancreatitis.
If a case requires a board-certified specialist — for example, plant-based diets or late-stage diseases — I can refer you to trusted colleagues. No matter who formulates the diet, K Nutrition provides continued guidance and in-home support throughout the process.
-
I’m a Certified Canine Nutritionist through the Companion Animal Science Institute (CASI) and hold a Safe Food Handler’s Certificate (Canada), ensuring the highest standards of food safety.
I have in-depth knowledge of ingredient and supplement sourcing in Cayman, supported by strong relationships with local suppliers. Before launching K Nutrition, I conducted a year-long field study tracking eight dogs on homemade diets — gaining firsthand insight into the practical challenges, long-term benefits, and nutritional nuances of fresh feeding in the islands.
-
I carry full professional and general liability insurance, including coverage specific to nutrition consulting and in-home food preparation services. This ensures both clients and collaborating veterinarians are fully protected.
Making Diets Safe
-
All recipes are professionally formulated to be nutritionally complete and balanced for your pet’s specific needs. I guide you through each step of the process — from sourcing ingredients to preparing and storing meals — to make sure everything is done safely. I also work closely with your veterinarian to keep the approach collaborative and transparent.
-
Yes! All the recipes we utilize are formulated by a board-certified or residency-trained veterinary nutritionist, ensuring they meet your pet's specific nutritional requirements.
-
Every plan is fully personalized. I start by learning about your pet’s health, diet history, and lifestyle, then collaborate with your veterinarian and a nutrition professional to create a balanced recipe tailored to their specific needs. Ongoing support ensures the diet continues to suit your pet as they grow and change.
-
I act as your guide throughout the homemade feeding journey — coordinating between you, your vet, and the nutrition team. I help ensure recipes are prepared safely, answer your questions, and support you in monitoring your pet’s progress and making adjustments as needed.
-
That’s perfectly okay — collaboration is key. I keep your veterinarian informed every step of the way and address any questions they have. My goal is to ensure everyone involved feels confident that your pet’s diet is safe, effective, and fully aligned with their medical care.
-
Yes! We are fully insured for your peace of mind.
For Pet Professionals
-
I welcome partnerships with veterinarians, specialists, and pet professionals to offer clients comprehensive nutrition support. This can include client referrals for homemade diet guidance, joint consultations, educational workshops, or shared client management to ensure each pet’s diet aligns with their overall care plan.
-
Referring clients is simple — just share my contact details (website, email, or phone). I’ll reach out directly, keep you updated, and ensure seamless communication throughout the process.
-
I ask for your pet’s medical history, recent diagnostic results (blood work and urinalysis within the past year), and a signed waiver confirming your vet’s awareness and consent. I also maintain open communication with your veterinarian throughout the process.
-
Safety is my top priority. All diets are formulated by qualified veterinary nutrition professionals, and I work closely with each pet’s primary veterinarian to ensure full oversight. I maintain detailed health records, guide owners on safe food handling, and provide trusted sourcing options for high-quality ingredients.
-
I’m committed to clear communication, professionalism, and evidence-based care. I respect your clinical expertise, keep you informed at every stage, and provide clients with education and ongoing support to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
-
I value open communication, collaboration, and timely feedback. Sharing medical history, diagnostics, and ongoing observations helps ensure each pet’s diet is safe, effective, and aligned with your clinical recommendations.
